Mimer SQL Integration and Synchronization
Mimer SQL is a SQL-based relational database management system from the Swedish company Mimer Information Technology AB which can be integrated and synchronized with 150+ widely used local and cloud-based IT-systems like Office 365, SharePoint, Dynamics, SQL/ERP/CRM codelessly using the Layer2 Cloud Connector.
To connect to Mimer SQL data the data source entity must be configured as follows in the Layer2 Cloud Connector Connection Manager:

Mimer SQL Specific Configuration Settings
Please note the following specific settings.
- Select the .NET Framework Data Provider for Mimer SQL that‘s not part of the Layer2 Cloud Connector, which should be installed separately from the Mimer SQL download site.
- You can use a connection string like this to
connect:
Database=mimer_database;Protocol=local;User Id=myuser;Password=mypassword; - You can make use of SQL like queries like "SELECT * FROM myschema.mytable" to query your data as supported by the data provider and source system. For any specification of query language supported see Mimer SQL documentation
- You can map your data fields to specific external source fields in the Layer2 Cloud Connector. Please take care about data types (simple type conversions are supported).
- Please enter an appropriate primary key (column with unique values), depending on query (see data preview for this).

Mimer SQL Data Integration - Known Issues and Workarounds
- If the data provider does not apperar in the provider dropdown, it is not installed - or the installed provider architecture (32/64-bit) does not fit to the installed Layer2 Cloud Connector.
- You can generally use the connection for uni-directional synchronization (read access). We cannot support writing back to this entity as most of the tables are read-only and only available through views.
- No programming required to setup a connection. No need to open your local network for access from outside. No need to modify the connected systems.
- For more detailed setting options please take a look at the Layer2 Cloud Connector User's Guide.
